Christmas Tree Grove
Walk through the grand entrance and take a stroll with your family through our very own Christmas tree grove while listening to the classics gently streaming from our sound system. As you stroll, notice our wide selection of varying sizes of the stiff branched Fraser Fir, wide needled Douglass Fir, soft needled Balsam Fir, and potentially more! Yet, the most amazing sight to see is our very own 20' lighted Norway Spruce - adorned with 18"+ ornaments. Due to the shortage noted this year trees range in size from 6-11' tall. Each year we add a little special touch to our decor.

Fraser Fir Trees
If it's the smell of Christmas you are looking for, this is your tree! Grown in the mountains of North Carolina, these are a high quality tree! The Fraser fir branches hang but turn slightly upward and make a stunning full tree. Frasers have good needle-retention and are dark blue-green in color with an extremely pleasant scent.
Balsam Fir
The balsam fir has a relatively dense, dark-green, pyramidal crown with a slender spire-like tip. Its spicy fragrance has made it a favorite Christmas tree for hundreds of years.
Douglas Fir

Douglas Firs are one of the top major Christmas tree species in the U.S due to shape, aroma and history. These soft needles are dark green to blue green in color and are approximately 1 - 1 ½ in. in length. The needles radiate in all directions from the branch and when crushed, these needles have a sweet fragrance. The branches spread and droop and as a result are not strong so if you have heavy ornaments, we recommend another variety.
Christmas Tree Tips
- When you bring your tree home, saw a couple inches off the bottom of the trunk before setting in water, or get a fresh cut at Countryview Farms for free! When trees are cut, pitch oozes out and seals the pores. By sawing off the base, you will open up the pores, and the tree will be able to absorb water. You must place in water very quickly after receiving a fresh cut or you risk your tree sealing itself and you will notice your tree dry out fairly quickly indoors.
- Watering is absolutely critical. A freshly-cut tree can consume a gallon of water in 24 hours! Fill the tree stand with water and keep it filled. Be diligent about this. Please never let the water level go below the tree’s base or it will self seal and dry out.
- Indoors, keep the tree away from heating ducts, fireplaces or other heat sources. In fact, the lower the temperature, the better the tree will do.
- Remember, no matter how well you care for your tree, some varieties have better needle retention than others and some naturally last much longer than others! Do your research!

Living Trees
If you are concerned about having a fresh cut tree and would prefer a living tree to plant afterward, these balled and burlaped trees are an excellent choice. At a convenient height, these trees can be moved into the home and then placed in the yard after to be planted.  An excellent family tradition, this is becoming more and more popular.
