Annual plants are plants with a life cycle that lasts one year. They grow from seed or cutting, bloom, produce seeds, and die in one growing season. They then need to be replanted each growing cycle. Annuals can be a great choice for a flower bed where your goal is to have masses of eye-catching color all summer long. The reason is simple: They bloom for longer periods during the summer than do perennials, especially if you deadhead them
